MEET THE NEW FACES OF HOG

The Hoosier Oncology Group is pleased to welcome two new project managers, Colleen Currie and Corinne Williams.

Both Colleen and Corinne come to us from an oncology clinical management background. We are excited to have this new talent on our team and we anticipate using their clinical perspective in streamlining some of our processes and continuing the trend of improved quality in the delivery of our services.

We are also excited to annouce that Charlene Minor has rejoined HOG as Financial Specialist, assisting Darren Dedman, Controller.

In their own words, each tells a little about themselves:

Colleen Currie, Project Manager

I am one of the new Project Managers at the HOG.  I recently move to Indianapolis from Columbus, OH.  I am originally from upstate New York and have lived throughout the north east.  Before coming to the HOG I worked as an internal Auditor for the Clinical Trials Office at the James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University Medical Center.  I have over 10 years of experience in clinical trials, working in sample collection, data management and study coordination.  I live with m y husband and two rescue dogs.  I am looking to get involved with animal rescue in Indianapolis.

Corinne Williams, Project Manager

I am excited to come aboard as one of the new Project Managers for the Hoosier Oncology Group. I come with 11 years research experience in the areas of neuropsychology, neuroscience, colorectal surgery, and most recently thoracic oncology. My educational background includes a BA in psychology and MS in neuroscience from Tulane University. I am dedicated to local and international missions including work in Belize and Mexico orphanages, a Ugandan refugee camp, and Louisiana for Hurricane Katrina relief. My personal interests   include spending time with my husband, church activities, playing the piano and   guitar, biking, running, tap dancing, reading, and traveling.

Charlene Minor, Financial Specialist

My husband James and I have be married 20 years and have 2 daughters and 1 grandchild. I am glad to be back at HOG, were  everyone makes you feel welcome and knowing that you are making a difference by helping someone, some family, your family. I love spending time with my family, reading, sewing and living life to the fullest. You may only have one chance at life, so reach for the stars."

Other changes include Dan Stover, Data Manager, acting as interim Project Manager for the BANK studies. Also Cyndi Burkhardt is acting Programs Manager, overseeing the Project Managers.

The new project managers will be making the rounds, contacting the sites to introduce themselves. Thank you to everyone for thier warm reception and patience during these transitions!
